  • Highly transparent protective glass
  • No filter effect, pure front lens protection
  • No extension factor
  • MRC coating
  • Made in Germany

Active photography puts cameras and Lenses through a lot. Protecting the sensitive front lenses from drifting sand, dust, fingerprints or splash water with a B+W filter is an obvious choice. B+W filters not only cost a fraction of the Lens, they are also easier to clean.

They can remain in front of the Lens all the time, since they are absolutely color-neutral, continue to be of the highest transparency, and are extremely low-reflection thanks to the B+W MRC or B+W MRC nano (with MASTER filters) coating. The optical signal reaches the image sensor (or film) unaffected. With the extremely clear and highly transparent B+W protective filters, no extension factor needs to be taken into account.

Protective filters play a particularly important role in digital photography. Greater depth of field due to small sensors increases the influence of front lens contamination on image quality. Especially with zoom lenses with lower light intensity, fingerprints, for example, have a significant effect on sharpness. Frequent cleaning of the front lens, however, can not only leave scratch marks, but also transport dirt particles or moisture at the frame edge into the interior of the lens system.

BASIC 007 Clear
The 007 Clear Filter fulfills the desire of many photographers for pure lens protection. Its sole function is to keep dirt, sand or splashing water away from the front lens. The hydrophobic coating reduces the tendency of dirt particles and water droplets to adhere. The advantage is extremely easy cleaning and maximum reflection reduction.
