  • Accurate and repeatable calibration of lenses and modern DSLR bodies.
  • Valuable investment to ensure that the camera controls the focus of the Lens as accurately as possible.

SpyderLensCal provides a fast, reliable way to measure the focusing performance of camera-lens combinations. Photographers get crisp images and can verify that their Lenses are performing optimally. This device is compact, lightweight and durable, with an integrated spirit level and tripod socket.

The problem:
For more than 25 years, autofocus has been a practical aid for photographers. Especially when things have to go fast, we enjoy this great invention. But where there is light, there is also shadow, and so for 25 years photographers have also complained that autofocus sometimes works inaccurately and unreliably. The most common cause, however, is an autofocusing error. This is often explained by the camera choosing the wrong object or the wrong point on the object as the focus point, but there is another possibility - one we don't like to consider, given the initial cost of a high-quality Lens: the Lens's autofocus function could be set incorrectly. If you photograph a flat object vertically and find that it's not as sharp as it should be, you need to consider this cause.

The solution:
Newer DSLR cameras have autofocus correction features. With this option, you can now store the correction values of your Lenses on the camera. This function will be integrated in more and more cameras and will surely be available on other camera types very soon.

SpyderLensCal supports you exactly in this autofocus correction process to calibrate the respective camera-lens combinations and store the corresponding data in the camera's custom settings.
