The world's fastest serieslens
An absolute world first: with a speed of 0.9, the HandeVision IBELUX 40 mm / 0.9 is currently the world's fastest series lens for system cameras! This makes it possible to take optimum photos in almost any situation - even in the worst lighting conditions, e.g. in ballrooms or closed rooms. You can even take atmospheric pictures by candlelight. Exposure problems at weddings or parties are also a thing of the past.
Light portrait focal length for valuable details
Due to the slightly smaller image angle compared to the standard focal length, the Lens provides the optimum detail in many areas. The Lens corresponds approximately to a 60mm in 35mm. Thanks to its shallow depth of field and unique bokeh, it is particularly suitable for cropping a desired subject. Three-dimensional images are created even in front of a turbulent background. The effective aperture can be clearly selected via the clear aperture stop. Focusing and exposure are set manually. A close focusing distance of 0.75 m facilitates use indoors and for atmospheric shots. With a 67 mm filter thread, all common filters can be attached. Practical: the integrated lens hood, which is immediately available if required. The lens is designed for the APS-C sensor.
Multi-coated lenses for optimum image results
An elaborate optical construction with 10 multi-coated lenses in 8 groups ensures particularly good imaging performance. The multi-coating prevents reflections, provides the image with more light, brilliant colors and high contrast.
German development - excellent quality
The HandeVision IBELUX 40 mm / 0.9 was developed 100% in Germany by the lens specialist IB/E Optics. It impresses with its ingenious engineering. For the mechanics, great importance is attached to high-quality materials (brass, steel, aluminum), which results in a robust and durable whole. The worm gear runs smoothly, precisely and without play.
Specially developed for videography
This Lens was developed for videography and photography. The aperture can be continuously adjusted from 0.9 to 22 and the focus adjustment is soft and smooth. This enables smooth focus tracking for video recordings. The aperture ring and focus ring have a gear ring and are therefore optimized for use with follow focus systems. For better legibility, the distance and aperture scales are arranged on the side.
Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor
Lenses developed for cameras with an APS-C sensor can sometimes be used on cameras with a full-frame sensor (mainly using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C Lens, the edges will be black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. The use of APS-C Lens on full-frame cameras is therefore possible, but not recommended.
