The extraordinary cine 2x macro lens update - film and shoot around the corner too!
The LAOWA 24mm T14 2X Periprobe brings completely new shooting possibilities to the market. Already with the Macro Probe, unique shots from the insect perspective were created that would never be possible with other Lenses. It has long since ceased to be an insider's tip in the professional world and is now part of the regular product range of globally operating and renowned cine rental companies. The unusual body shape and professional features, such as a waterproof front element, offer unprecedented creative possibilities for filmmakers and photographers. Now, the new Periprobe takes all of these features to the next level. Filming and photography is also easy around the corner - and in any direction. The Periprobe comes as a set with interchangeable tubes. One tube can simply shoot straight ahead as before, the other 90° "around the corner". With an angle of view of 85° and a very small minimum distance of 2cm, breathtaking perspectives are possible even in the most confined spaces. With a focal length of 24mm, it is a wide-angle macro lens for full-frame cameras with a maximum magnification of 2:1. The Periprobe has a wider perspective than other macro telephoto lenses and a wider aperture range from T14 to T40. Therefore, it has a greater depth of field at short distances.

The long and tubular lens barrel, consisting of 28 lens elements in 19 groups, allows many unusual shooting situations. With the 40cm long and 2cm thin telescope-like tube, you can easily take pictures inside models, tree caves or even under water (up to approx. 20cm deep) without a special body. Likewise, it guarantees a safe distance to the subjects, which is especially important when photographing animals.

The built-in LED light at the tip provides a bright light source. You can use a power bank or USB power adapter as a power source. With the included dimmable USB cable, the light can be adjusted in 11 levels. With the interchangeable lens tube, you can easily switch between the 90° periscope and the straight 0° macro probe. So you have two lenses in one.
In addition, the Lens can be rotated 360° along the longitudinal axis (controllable via module 0.8) by unlocking the orientation ring on the coupling mechanism. By locking it again, the image section or the orientation can be fixed. Additional accessories can also be installed at the hole at the tip of the Lens.

The cine lens with stepless aperture ring is equipped with standardized module 0.8 gear rings.
Focusing and aperture adjustment are performed manually.
