From fast-paced projects to complex film sets: the Z 8 adapts flexibly. It impresses with 8K and 4K recording directly in-camera, at numerous frame rates, including slow motion. Even under starlight, it produces impressively detailed 45.7-megapixel photos. Separate menu interfaces for video and stills ensure clarity, and the displays automatically rotate when shooting in portrait orientation.

8.3K/60p, 12-bit RAW – captured directly in-camera
Nikon’s N-RAW format enables high-resolution recording up to 8.3K/60p or 4.1K/120p at only half the file size compared to ProRes RAW HQ. Numerous codecs are supported, including N-RAW, ProRes RAW HQ, ProRes 422HQ, MOV H.265, and MP4 H.264, as well as recording modes in N-Log and HLG. When filming, the camera automatically creates Full HD proxies, which significantly speeds up editing.

Protection and Connectors

Spitze!
Ich fotografiere mit der Z8 jetzt seit über einem Jahr und bin sehr, sehr zufrieden. Besonders gefallen mir der schnelle Motiv-Autofokus, der flexible Sucher, die Haptik und die flexible Funktionstastenbelegung. Der Stromverbrauch könnte etwas sparsamer ausfallen, aber dann nimmt man halt einen Reserveakku mehr mit.
