The LUMIX S9 is the smallest and lightest full-frame system camera in the LUMIX S series.
It is available in four different colors - Jet Black, Crimson Red, Dark Olive, Night Blue - and is a stylish, modern companion to 'always have with you'.

The latest 24 MP full-frame sensor captures content in rich detail with natural tones.
In addition, the camera is equipped with phase detection autofocus, which provides excellent subject tracking, and internal image stabilization, which reduces blur caused by camera shake even when shooting handheld.

With the new MP4 Lite recording format for open gate recording, creatives can record high-quality videos in the optimal format for smartphones + social media and easily adjust the size of the aspect ratio with the new LUMIX Lab app. In addition, the speed of data transfer from the camera to the smartphone has been significantly improved.

The innovative REAL TIME LUT function of the S9 is creative and exciting.
A dedicated LUT button on the camera body can be used to quickly + directly apply predefined or customized color styles in the camera. Panasonic introduces compact standard fixed focal length lens for its full-frame cameras: LUMIX S 40mm F2 (S-S40)
With the LUMIX S 40mm F2 (S-S40), Panasonic presents a new interchangeable lens based on the LMount system standard. The LUMIX S 40mm F2 is a compact, lightweight fixed focal length lens designed for everyday versatility. It delivers natural-looking images with beautiful bokeh - ideal for street photography, portraits and landscapes.

With a focal length of 40mm - close to the field of view of the human eye - this fixed focal length offers a natural perspective suitable for a wide range of shooting situations. The bright maximum aperture of F2 creates a soft and beautiful bokeh for strong subject separation in portraits and helps to maintain faster shutter speeds in low light conditions. This produces clear images without having to increase the ISO sensitivity unnecessarily.

With an overall length of approx. 40.9 mm and a weight of approx. 144 g, it complements the compact body of the LUMIX S9 to create a handy set that is easy to carry. The lens is similar to the LUMIX S 18-40 mm F4.5-6.3 and also has a filter diameter of 62 mm.

Despite its compact and lightweight construction, the lens has a dust and splash-proof design for reliable use in changing weather conditions. The front lens element is fluorine-coated, making it easy to remove dirt and grease from the surface.

To meet the growing demand for video production, the lens also offers features such as focus breathing reduction and micro-step iris control for smooth exposure transitions and high-quality video.

To accompany this announcement, Panasonic is also releasing its lens development roadmap, which includes a wide-angle fixed focal length lens to complement the compact LUMIX S9 body and a wide-aperture telephoto zoom lens to expand the L-mount lens lineup.
