With this camera, DJI is entering the world of 360° cameras for the first time and delivering not just any gadget, but an uncompromisingly equipped camera that combines 8K video, strong low-light performance, creative freedom and full action capability in a compact body.

Picture: DJI360° video rethought
At the heart of the Osmo 360 are two opposing fisheye lenses, each with a 180-degree field of view. DJI combines them with an innovative, square sensor design, the so-called "1-inch 360° imaging" technology. This is based on a newly developed 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor which, thanks to its shape, offers an effective 25 % higher sensor utilization compared to conventional round sensor surfaces.
The result: native 8K 360° video at up to 30 frames per second, rich colors with 10-bit color depth, D-Log M profile for more leeway in grading and amazingly good performance in low light. The so-called SuperNight mode ensures clear details and low image noise even in the dark. This is an area in which many other 360° cameras have so far been weak.
Photo quality with 120 megapixels
The photo mode also shows that DJI doesn't spill the beans with the Osmo 360. With a maximum resolution of 120 megapixels (16K), highly detailed 360° images are created that are suitable for both immersive web applications and large-format prints. A real advantage for travel bloggers, real estate photographers or social media creators who want to present their world as vividly as possible.

The seamless switch between 360° mode and single-lens mode is a particularly clever concept. In single-lens mode, the Osmo 360 can be used like a classic action cam - perfect for vlogs, POV scenes or creative shots with an extremely wide angle. There are various resolutions to choose from, including 5K with 60 fps or the so-called boost mode with 4K and 120 fps at an impressive viewing angle of 170 degrees.
There is also a selfie mode in which shots taken with the front lens automatically create the popular "invisible selfie stick" effect, i.e. the impression of a floating camera without the stick being visible in the picture. This creates drone-like shots - without the drone.

Despite its powerful features, the Osmo 360 remains surprisingly compact: weighing just 183 grams and measuring 61 Ã 36.3 Ã 81 mm, it fits easily into any pocket. The 2.0-inch OLED touch display with 800 nits ensures good readability, even in sunlight. Operation is intuitive, as is typical for DJI. Anyone who has already worked with an Osmo Action will find their way around immediately.
DJI also impresses when it comes to robustness: the Osmo 360 is IP68-certified and waterproof up to 10 meters without an additional body. It works reliably in temperatures down to -20 °C.
The only weak point: the fisheye lenses are not interchangeable. Although protective films and glass protectors are available as accessories, a scratch in the glass can lead to visible artifacts, as with all 360° cameras.

Another highlight is the OsmoAudio system. The camera has four integrated microphones with advanced wind noise suppression and supports a direct connection to DJI Mic 2 and Mic Mini, without the need for an additional receiver.
It is also possible to record via Bluetooth headset or operate the camera using voice control. Particularly practical: the "Mic Audio Backup" function provides an additional audio track with ambient noise - ideal for post-production.
Storage & Battery: Ready for use immediately
DJI has also thought ahead when it comes to memory management. The Osmo 360 offers 128 GB of internal memory, of which 105 GB can be used. Enough for spontaneous recordings when there is no SD card to hand. The memory can also be expanded to up to 1 TB using a suitable microSD card.
The battery life is around 100 minutes with 8K recording and can even be extended to up to 4.5 hours with the optional battery extension rod. And if you need to go fast: 12 minutes charging time is enough for 50% battery - thanks to USB-C Fast Charging with 30 watts.
DJI Mimo & Studio: from the app directly to the web
Editing is done either on the go with the DJI Mimo app or on the computer via DJI Studio.
Both tools offer comprehensive editing options, including
- Keyframes & Auto-Tracking
- "GyroFrame": reframing by tilting the smartphone
- Editing assistant for orientation & selfie change
- Seamless export for social media
- Premiere Pro plugin for professionals
This is a huge plus point, especially for creators who work on the go or want to post content quickly.
