  • fast and quiet autofocus

The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17 mm f/1.8 is lightweight, compact and offers exceptional image quality. Extra fast with a f/1.8 aperture, it allows for Pictures with a remarkable background blur, but of course also sharp images - even without a tripod and in low light conditions. So that every moment can be captured in premium quality the clever snapshot focus mechanism, which is already part of the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12 mm 1:2.0. By sliding back and turning the focus ring, the distance can be set manually. The respective focus range can be conveniently read off on the Depth of field scale. In addition, thanks to the MSC technology (Movie & Still Compatible), the autofocus is fast and very quiet. And the special ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) multi-coating of the lens minimizes the occurrence of ghost images, backlight reflections as well as other disturbing artifacts.

For this lens - which is compatible with the VF-1 optical viewfinder - an optional lens hood (LH-48B) and a lens cap with an engraved Olympus logo (LC-48B) are available.
