The continuation of the G-Master series

Sony already has a number of 35mm lenses in its range: the 35mm f/1.8, f/2.8 and the 35mm Zeiss f/1.4, which offer outstanding image quality and speed. The new 35mm f/1.4 from Sony sits right next to the 35mm f/1.4 from Zeiss, but has adopted the look of the popular Sony 24mm f/1.4 . The 35mm f/1.4 is only slightly larger than the 24mm and only 100g heavier. Compared to the Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 , however, it is 100 grams lighter. The G-Master models represent the highest quality range of Sony lenses and are perfectly suited to all Sony full-frame models. The 35mm f/1.4 impresses with its impressive image quality, high-quality workmanship thanks to the latest coating technologies, as well as the well-known exceptional autofocus performance.

Image quality and autofocus at the highest level!

As already known from the G-Master series, the new 35mm f/1.4 is also characterized by an outstanding sharpness range right into the corners. The closest focusing distance is 27cm and allows you to get even closer to your subject. The Nano AR Coating minimizes any interference effects on the lenses of the lens, e.g. aperture spots. The circular aperture blades, which are processed in the wide-angle lens, ensure a great round bokeh: perfect for portraits in the half-total! The autofocus matches that of the Sony R series perfectly: it is precise, quiet and super fast, so that you always get razor-sharp results when taking photos. A fast and precise autofocus is particularly important in the video sector.
